SSG. Ret. Nelson W. Tatro, 66, of Coventry, CT died Thursday (Nov. 22, 2007) with his immediate family including his nephew, Jeffrey Tatro at his side. Nelson was born April 1, 1941 in New Britain CT. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Gay Walsh Tatro, daughter Susan (Richard) Stinson of Waverly Hall, GA, sons Sean (Shannon) Tatro of Palm Bay, FL, Stephen (Amy) Tatro of Palm Bay, FL, daughter Sheila (Jeff) McLaughlin of Willimantic, CT, 14 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Nelson will be greatly missed by all who knew him, including his dog Brandy, cat Sassy and his many wildlife friends. Services will be held at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Wednesday, November 28, with visitation from 6-7 P.M. and a memorial service beginning at 7 P.M.
