Neil Holbrook, 60, of Willimantic, died Thursday, October 18, 2001 at Windham Hospital after a tragic automobile accident. He was born July 3, 1941 in Michigan. He was food services director at EastConn and served with the U. S. Air Force in Taiwan for several years after learning Chinese at Yale University. Neil was passionate about sports, was an avid computer user, a restaurateur and loved breaking codes. He enjoyed people and was a good friend to many. He was a well known volunteer at the Covenant Soup Kitchen and the Bike for Bread project. A memorial service will be held at St. Paul Episcopal Church, 220 Valley St. Willimantic on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be private in the Windham Center Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Neil Holbrook Memorial Fund, c/o Covenant Soup Kitchen, 220 Valley St., Willimantic, CT 06226. Arrangements are by the Potter Funeral Home, Willimantic.
