Nathan Ross, 23, of Mansfield, the sweet son of Judy Graham and Brian Ross and big brother to Moriah Ross, passed away on Thursday March 13, 2014. Although much loved by family and friends, Nate found the burden of life too heavy a load to keep carrying. He was born September 11, 1990, was a 2008 graduate of E. O. Smith High School and graduated in 2013 from Eastern Connecticut State University with a degree in business and marketing. Along with his parents and sister, Nate leaves behind his grandmother Frances Ross of Windsor, aunt Pam Nonken and uncle Ken of Washington, MA, aunt Susan Graham and uncle David Schafer of Chaplin, aunt Becky and uncle Dennis Conners of Torrington along with cousins JulieAnne and Alicia Connors and second cousin Abigail Connors. Nate, a sensitive person by nature, really loved his job and looked forward to his campers when he was a counselor at Holiday Hill Day Camp. He had also worked at Fed-Ex and as a seasonal maintainer for the State Parks at Shenipsit State Forest Unit. He enjoyed football and basketball and was a fan of the Tennessee Titans and UConn Huskies. He loved quality comedy and satire. His large loud laugh could be infectious. Our family is deeply saddened at his leaving us and hope friends will remember Nate for his intelligence, firm handshake, hugs, good looks and sense of humor. A celebration of his life will be held March 22, 2014 at his home starting at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Joshua's Trust, P.O. Box 4, Mansfield Center, CT 06250 or to the Mansfield Animal Shelter, c/o 4 South Eagleville Rd. Storrs, CT 06268. The Potter Funeral Home assisted with arrangements. Please visit
