Murray Standish

Murray Standish, 84, of North Windham, husband of the late Ethel (Newberry) Standish, died Monday, May 15, 2006 in Windham. He was born June 9, 1921 in Windham, the son of Raymond and Marion (Stone) Standish and had lived in North Windham all his life. Prior to his retirement he owned and operated the Murray Standish Plumbing and Heating Company. He and his wife enjoyed many winters at their home in Homosassa, Florida. He is survived by two sisters, Grace Clauson and Ruth Swift, both of North Windham, several nieces and nephews. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Graveside services will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the Windham Center Cemetery, Rte. 203, Windham.
