Muriel Giguere

Muriel Giguere, 71, of Willimantic, CT, passed away Friday, January 30, 2015 at home with her loving companion, Janet Chadd by her side. She was born in Woonsocket, RI to the late Leo J. Giguere Sr. & Irene (DuFrense) Giguere. Muriel attended Hartford schools and retired from the State of CT- Department of Mental Retardation where she worked as an aide. She was also a communicant of St. Joseph Church. In addition to Janet, Muriel is survived by her nephew, Christopher Figoni and his wife Danielle, of Long Island, NY; nephew, Peter Figoni, of Long Island, NY; niece, Cherie Undermark and her husband Dustin, of Long Island, NY; niece, Stacy Giguere and her husband Len Dupille of Windsor, CT; niece, Lori Giguere, of Manchester, CT; grandson Matthew Gallant of West Farmington, ME; sister-in-laws, Sharon Giguere of Tolland, CT, and Susan Sivo, of Manchester, CT; as well as numerous great nieces and nephews. Muriel was predeceased by her son, Jeffery Gallant; brothers, Richard, Robert and Leo Giguere; sisters, Lucille and Sister Leo Irene. Family and friends may gather for calling hours Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 9:00 AM, at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (RTE 195) Willimantic, CT; followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St., Willimantic, CT.
