Miriam (Fernandez) Raymond, 55, of Woodstock, CT lost her four-year battle against stage four breast cancer, surrounded by her family, on the morning of April 8, 2016.?She passed away peacefully and comfortably at her home. Born May 6, 1960 in Arequipa, Peru, she was the daughter of Hector and Olga Fernandez who emigrated to the United States in 1966 and raised their family in Willimantic, CT. She was the beloved wife to Arthur J. Raymond for 37 years. Arthur and Miriam were married in 1979, and were later blessed with their son Anthony Raymond. Miriam was a devoted mother and loving wife.?As their son got older, she began studying Interior Design, which was key in the development of their current dream home.?She was also instrumental in the startup of the company Arthur operates, Tricab Inc, a wire and cable manufacturer located in Worcester, MA. Miriam was predeceased by her father, Hector Fernandez, and sister Daitzi (Fernandez) Lussier. She is survived by her husband, Arthur, son, Anthony Raymond; mother Olga Fernandez, sister Sara Zambo and sister Danitza Nall (and her husband Mark Nall) , her half-brother, Hector (and his wife Naima) along with her closest cousin, Jose (and his wife Rochelle), and many more in-laws, cousins, aunts and uncles throughout Connecticut, Florida & Arequipa, Peru. Miriam, also known as "Auntie Mimi", leaves behind nephews & nieces, Stacey & Joseph Zambo, Tori Lussier, and James & Jason (his wife Marissa, and daughter Catalina) Nall. Art & Anthony would like to not only continue to thank their immediate family but also the following. Donna Brown, we can't thank you enough for all the joy and laughter you brought Miriam over the last few years with your visits. Becky Trowbridge, for going above and beyond for caring for Miriam both medically and emotionally. John Mahan, without your help, we would not have been able to spend so much time with Miriam.
