Mildred V. (Plesz) Schenck went to heaven to be with her late husband Kenneth on Dec. 27, 2012 at the age of 87. Mildred married Kenneth on Nov. 20, 1946 and enjoyed 64 years of marriage before his death in 2010. They traveled while he was in the army and lived in Panama for a time before returning back to Willimantic to raise their family. Mildred worked at Electro-Motive Manufacturing Co. as a young woman and then at the local A&P Supermarket and finally retired from American Thread Co. She leaves her son Michael Schenck and Rosemary Sherman of Windham, Diana Garrison of Chaplin, Nicole Garrison of RI, her granddaughter Christy Schenck-Betit and her husband Brian and 3 great grandchildren all of VT. A special thank you to Dr. McPhee and Dr. Leach and their staffs and all the wonderful people who cared for Millie while she was a resident of St. Joseph Living Center. There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Monday Dec. 31, 2012 at 12:00pm in St. Joseph Cemetery, Club Rd., Windham.
