Mildred Hicking

Mildred Eleanor (Sasse) Hicking, formerly of Coventry and Manchester, moving to Storrs in 1997 passed away peacefully into eternal rest on March 9th, 2005 in Storrs. Born to Ellen (Larson) and Otto Sasse of Manchester on August 2, 1924. She was an avid pet lover, especially for her cats, which gave her endless hours of delight. Mildred leaves behind her beloved children, Jeffrey and Patricia Hicking of Warren, MA; Kerstin and Mark Ciechowski of Stafford, Sue and Aim Gamache of Storrs; 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Carl, her son, Thomas and her brother Robert Sasse. Family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson Street, Rt. 195 Willimantic on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.; with the funeral service immediately following at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Bruce Johnson officiating.
