Mildred Bessette

Mildred (Hartley) Bessette, 88, formerly of Mansfield, wife of the late William Bessette, died Monday Oct. 22, 2012 at St. Joseph Living Center, Windham. She was born Oct. 11, 1924 in Coventry the daughter of Charles and Gladys (Worby) Hartley. Mildred enjoyed spending her married life as a homemaker and as a loving best friend to her husband, children and grandchildren. She is survived by eight children, William C. Bessette, Shirley Hart, Daniel Bessette Sr., David Bessette, Carol Santor, Donald Bessette, Beverley Bessette and Nancy Rychling, 28 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Friday Oct. 26th between 10:00 and 11:00am with a service beginning at 11:00am at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. Burial will follow in Connecticut State Veteran's Cemetery in Middletown.
