Mildred Bender Babcock

Mildred Bender Babcock, 93, formerly of Bender Rd., Lebanon, passed away Tuesday Jan. 1, 2008 at Douglas Manor, Windham. She was born May 13, 1914 in Willimantic the daughter of Carl and Mary (Lord) Johnson. Mildred had been employed by Bunnell Buick in Willimantic for several years prior to her retirement. She previously had been employed at Nathan Hale Hotel in Willimantic and Pleasant View Lodge in Chaplin. She is survived by a daughter Jeanne Vertefeuille and her husband Bert of Lebanon, a son Jack Bender and his wife Susan of Lebanon, nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, daughter in law Margaret Babcock of NY., son in law Roger Racicot of Lebanon, brother in law Edward Bender and his wife Clara of Lebanon, sister in law Helen Bender of Lebanon and several nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 2:00pm at St. Francis of Assisi Church, West Town St., Lebanon, with interment following in New Lebanon Cemetery.
