Michael Shore

Dr. Michael Shore, 53, of Storrs, husband of Nina (Swain) Shore, died Saturday May 1, 2004 at Hartford Hospital. He was born August 15, 1950 in Philadelphia, the son of Mary (Krengle) Shore of Mt. Laurel, NJ and the late Arnold Shore and had lived in Storrs for 25 years. He was a graduate of Johns Hopkins University and the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Medicine. Dr. Shore practiced medicine with Quarry Street Internal Medicine in Willimantic for the past 25 years. He was a founder of the Med-East Medical Walk In Center in Willimantic and was the medical director of the Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by 2 sons Daniel Shore of Cambridge, MA and Benjamin Shore of Storrs, a brother, Ted Shore of Fairfax, VA, 3 nieces and a nephew. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 3:00 p.m. in the Storrs Cemetery, North Eagleville Rd. Storrs. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Windham Hospital Emergency Dept. Fund, c/o Community Development Office, Windham Hospital, 112 Mansfield Avenue, Willimantic, CT 06226.
