Michael Riquier, 61 of Columbia Ct, died on February 7, 2011 at Windham Community Memorial Hospital after a 4 year battle with cancer. Mike was born November 6, 1949 to the late Alphonse and May (Korner) Riquier. Mike and his brother Tom were partners in T&M Distributors until recently when he went into business on his own. He also served in the Marine Corps during Vietnam. Mike will be sadly missed by his loving family. He is survived by his wife Bonnie (Naumec) Riquier, his 7 children: Michael J Riquier of Willimantic Ct, Gina Riquier of Beaufort SC, currently serving in the USMC in Afghanistan, Gayle Riquier of Stamford CT, Geri Riquier of Griswold CT, Gwen Riquier of Moberly MO, Damien J Riquier and Cristiano J Riquier of Columbia CT, and 6 grandchildren. Also surviving him is his brother Thomas and his wife Denise of Mansfield; Marilyn and her husband Don Pardus of West Palm Beach FL, and his sister Dorothy Riquier of Anchorage AK; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Alvin Riquier. Mike will be greatly missed by his family and friends but will always be remembered for his laughter and sense of humor. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Thursday, February 10, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. His funeral service will be at the funeral home on Friday at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Colchester at a later date.
