Michael P. Sirak

Michael P. Sirak, 79, of Pine St. Columbia, husband of Helena (Sudol) Sirak, died Wednesday evening at the Windham Hospital. He was born Feb. 27, 1922 in Wilpen, PA. the son Mary Sirak of E. Hartford and the late John Sirak and has resided in Columbia for most of his life. He had been employed as a heavy equipment operator with the International Operating Engineers Local #478. Mr. Sirak was a former member of the Columbia Lion s Club and the Willimantic Elks. He was an avid gardener. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a son Michael J. Sirak of W. Haven, a daughter and son in law Susan and Paul Churchill of Columbia, 2 grandchildren; Erin and David Churchill , a great granddaughter Carolyn Ayer and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother John and a sister Mary Jurovaty. His funeral service will be private with burial in the West St. Cemetery, Columbia. There are no calling hours. Kindly omit flowers.
