Michael Clark Merriam

Michael Clark Merriam, 72, who resided in Coventry, CT all his life, passed away Monday, February 27, 2018. He was born in Manchester, CT to the late Winthrop and Prall Bacon Merriam. Michael had a dream of building a log cabin, that dream was fulfilled in 1978. Years later he also purchased his family home where he resided until his death. After he retired from the University of Connecticut, he continued to work very hard maintaining five cemeteries for the town of Coventry. The town even presented him with a plaque for his dedication. Michael looked forward to his yearly trips at the camp in Maine, to him it was ?God?s Nature Untouched.? He loved fishing, he and family members had a bass competition and Mike won. Along with his parents, Michael was predeceased by his brother, Winthrop Jr. and his aunt, Julia. He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Ann; his precious daughter, Millie Prall and brother, Marshal. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
