Michael Lombardo, of North Windham, passed peacefully on July 8, 2015. Michael was born on June 30, 1925 in Willimantic and lived in the region his entire life. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Navy in the Pacific. He was employed at the Electromotive Company for many years and retired from Northeast Utilities in 1992. He was a lifelong member of the Willimantic Elks Club, the American Legion and the VFW. He was predeceased by his wife Myrtle who passed away September 6, 2014. He is survived by his children Michele Joly and her husband David Joly of East Granby, CT; Robert Lombardo and his wife Donna Lombardo of Plainfield, IL; Geraldine (Jerri) Chalk and her husband Dennis Chalk of Columbia, CT. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, Andrew Joly and his wife Bonnie Joly of Tewksbury, MA; Amanda Joly her fiancAC. Adam Patnaude of Bloomfield, CT; Melissa Chalk and Emily Chalk of Columbia, CT; Kristina Lombardo and Michael Lombardo of St. Augustine, FL. He is also survived by his great grandchildren Conor and Keegan Joly of Tewksbury, MA. His family will receive relatives and friends Monday July 13, 2015 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic, CT, with his service beginning at 11:00am at the funeral home.
