Michael Edward Heon, 67, of Willimantic CT, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2022, peacefully at home.
He was born in Willimantic, CT on June 15, 1955, son of the late Irene (Finn) Lukas and Paul Heon.
Michael graduated from Windham High School. He worked for both Nike and Gilman Brothers Co, followed by many years of volunteering at the Covenant Soup Kitchen in Willimantic.
Michael played for the Willimantic Little League for many years and was an avid Red Sox and UConn Husky Fan.
Michael had a great love of the outdoors and fishing in his younger years.
He leaves behind his companion of 20 years, Susan Wuthernow and his cat Murphy; sisters, Alexina (Pauline) Haynes and Kathleen (Kathy) Ossowski; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his brothers Walter (Skip) Heon and Raymond (Ray) Heon.
There are no calling hours. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
