Michael Scott Desrosiers, 54, of Manchester CT, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 with family at his side. He was born on April 23, 1962 in Willimantic, CT, the son of Ronald J. Desrosiers and Theresa M. (Rondeau) Desrosiers. Michael was a graduate of Windham Technical School in Willimantic, and went on to Radiology School at Windham Community Memorial Hospital. He then furthered his studies and became a Cat Scan Technologist. Working in numerous hospitals along the way, Michael finally settled in at the University of Connecticut Health Center as Lead Technologist in the CT Scan Department. Along with receiving several achievement awards during his career, Michael was to be promoted upon completion of the new UCONN Center being built this year. He was an avid bowler and was league secretary for the Friendship League for many years. He was a participant in many leagues and competed in tournaments from the East coast to the West coast. Michael's joy in life was his dog Jacoby, and being a volunteer at the Our Companions Animal Rescue in Ashford, CT. Michael also enjoyed spending time with his friends at Cape Cod and going to Boston Red Sox games. Michael is survived by his parents, Ronald Desrosiers of Willimantic and Theresa Desrosiers of Mansfield, his brothers, Leo Desrosiers of Manchester, Richard Desrosiers of Plainfield, Vernon Desrosiers of New Britain, Andre Desrosiers of New Britain, Gary Desrosiers of New Jersey, and his sister Cheryl Desrosiers of Manchester. He also leaves behind, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and many extended family and friends. There are no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 10:00 AM, at St. Mary Church, 46 Valley Street, Willimantic, CT 06226.
