Michael Anthony Barone

Michael Anthony Barone, 65, of Coventry, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Backus Hospital in Norwich, CT. Born October 29, 1959, in Hartford, Connecticut; he was the son of Gloria Barone and the late Sebastian (aka Al) Barone. Michael served our nation by working as a machinist for the National Guard and served in two deployments overseas. Michael’s military career spanned 38 years. Mike will be remembered for his unique sense of humor; he always had an audience to entertain. He was an incredibly devoted father and husband. He was a talented musician, carpenter, and enjoyed the outdoors.

His memory will live on in the hearts and minds of his family. He is survived by his wife Naomi Barone; his sons Sparrow Barone and fiancée Laura Fernández, and Samuel Barone; stepdaughter Jessica Glover; his mother Gloria Barone; sister Susan Barone and her husband Thomas Marcil; and other extended family and friends.

Care of private arrangements have been entrusted to the Potter Funeral Home of Willimantic. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
