Merrill A. Wilson

Merrill A. Wilson, 93, of Willington, husband of the late Lucy (Francisco) Wilson, died Thursday April 28, 2005 at the Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born June 23, 1911 in Willington the son of Ernest and Grace (Cushman) Wilson. Prior to his retirement, Merrill had been employed at the State of CT. D.O.T. in Willington for 37 years. He later worked for 10 years at UConn. He was a member of the Federated Church of Willington and a charter lifetime member of the Willington Fire Dept. #2. He was an active member of the Willington Senior Center. He is survived by 2 sons, Norman and his wife Jeanette of Willington and Donald and his wife Dorothy of Silver Spring, MD., 2 daughters in law, Geraldine Jones of Storrs and Shirley Niles of Naples, FL., 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be private with burial in the New Willimantic Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Please omit flowers.
