Menta Nowyckyj

Menta Nowyckyj, 50, of Chaplin, wife of Bohdan "Buddy" Nowyckyj, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday Nov. 4, 2004 surrounded by her family after a short but courageous battle with cancer. For the last 20 years, she worked alongside her husband at General Cable in Willimantic. In addition to her husband "Buddy", she is survived by her daughter Roxanne Campbell, 2 sons, Kevin Pratt Jr. and Robert Pratt; her mother and stepfather, Rebecca (Eaton) VanCedarfield and Ernie VanCedarfield; her sister and brother in law, Gertrude and John; her 3 brothers, Ronaldo Richard and Frank and his wife Amy Chamberlain; 4 grandchildren, Andrew, Cameron, Chelsea and Jack; her nieces and nephews, Johnathon, Joshua, Cole, Erica and Katie; her stepson Brian Nowyckyj and his wife Caroline; her stepdaughter Jennifer Major and her husband Joe; and her dear friend Patti Tucker. She was predeceased by her father Ronaldo Chamberlain and her sister Anna Chamberlain. Menta's family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00am at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic with assembly at the church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
