Melissa Ann Hauser

Melissa Hauser, 29, of Vernon, CT, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2012. She was born in Hartford, CT on March 12, 1983. She graduated from Rockville High School in June, 2001 and from Our Lady of the Elms College in 2009. Melissa believed passionately in education and was curious and eager to learn. She earned a B.A. in biology and was especially interested in genetics. Her desire to help others and contribute to the fields of medicine and education led her to be active in community outreach programs, tutoring, etc. Melissa's talents extended to the creative realms as well. She was a very gifted young woman, especially in writing, art, and music. Melissa is survived by her grandmother, Maureen Forbes of South Windsor, CT, her parents, Denise Hauser, of Vernon, CT, Bill Hauser, of Vernon, CT, and Gary Krancher of Meriden, CT. She also leaves her sister, Sherryl Hauser, and her brothers, Dennis and Brenndan Hauser, all of Vernon, CT. She will be missed by all who knew her. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Immune Deficiency Foundation, P.O. 758695, Baltimore, MD 21275.
