Maureen Edith Nolan, of Los Angeles, CA., died Aug. 30, 2004 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 5, 1954 in Willimantic. Ms. Nolan was a graduate of E.O. Smith High School, class of 1972, received her BA in Semiotics from Brown University in 1976 and attended UCLA Film School. After a career in film editing, she returned to UCLA where she earned certification as a paralegal. Her parents, Donald and Joanne Nolan of Mansfield Center survive her. Her mother, Barbara (Christie) Nolan predeceased her in 1963. Her sister and brother in law, Kathleen and Robert Osborne of Corn Hill, New Brunswick, Canada also survive, as well as several nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Saturday Sept. 25, at 2:00pm at the Storrs Cemetery, North Eagleville Rd., Storrs. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested in Maureen's memory to the L.A.
