Matthew Trainor

Matthew Trainor, 38, of Columbia, CT died October 1, 2015. He was born April 14, 1977 to Mary Rose and Ralph Trainor. Matthew worked for Community Companions and Homemakers and later at DMR for 10 years and was a volunteer at Windham Hospital. He was a beautiful young man with a gentle soul and generous heart. He loved music, travelling, shopping and especially his family. He was a very special Uncle to his nieces and nephews. Known to only a few was his ability to write beautiful letters. He was predeceased by his father Ralph. Matthew leaves behind his grieving family, his mother Mary Rose, his brothers Jeffrey, Jeremy and his wife Deborah; his sisters Susan and Ashley and her husband Drew. He will also be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews Alexandria, Tabitha and Zachary; Cassandra and Jamie; Kaylee and Karly. Matthew also leaves his best friend and soulmate Lindsay. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM-8:00PM, Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic, CT. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00AM, Friday, October 9, 2015 at Church of the Holy Family, 185 Church St., Hebron, CT with burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery of Coventry.
