Matilde Serrano

Matilde Serrano, 73, of Willimantic, died Thursday, March 8, 2007 in Boston. She was born August 20, 1933 in Caguas, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Juan Serrano and Esperanza Hernandez and had lived in Willimantic for the past 18 years. She is survived by a daughter, Marta Pagan of North Windham, 5 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Jose Ortiz Jr. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Her funeral services will be at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the New Willimantic Cemetery.
