Mary J. Williams

Mary (Serruta) Williams, 93, of Willimantic, widow of Sam Williams who died in 1988, died Saturday February 8, 2003 at Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born October 19, 1909 in New London. She is survived by 2 daughters, Helen Bacon and her husband George of Willimantic, Theresa Williams and Lynn McCollum of Mansfield Center, 2 grandchildren, Michelle Bacon Donahue and her husband Timothy,Mark Bacon, a great grandson, Trevor Donahue, a brother, Anthony Serruta of California, a brother-in-law Ken Pease of Waterford, several nieces and nephews. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. Willimantic on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the procession to her Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Willimantic. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
