Mary Linda Vertefeuille

Mary Linda Vertefeuille of Windham passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 after a brief illness. She passed away at home surrounded by the love of her husband Richard, family and friends. Linda and Richard were married in 1959 and have three children; their daughter, Julie Stygar and her husband Kirk, Steven Vertefeuille and his wife Laurie and their daughter Sarah Vertefeuille and her husband William Schramm. She leaves seven grandchildren and four great granddaughters. Linda was a graduate from the UCONN School of Nursing and was a registered nurse for many years. She spent the majority of that time at the Emergency Department of Windham Community Memorial Hospital. She was described by her friends and co-workers as a?loving, skilled, caring nurse who saw us through many hard times. She modestly helped save many lives and was compassionate to those who were suffering. She is missed by all of her extended family and friends. In the springtime we will hold a memorial service that celebrates her life and all would be welcome to attend. The family will announce the time and place when it is scheduled.
