Mary A. (Leta) Pattay, 90, of Willimantic, wife of the late Jack Pattay, died peacefully at Connecticut Hospice in Branford, CT on Monday, December 3, 2012. Born in Willimantic, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Pauline (Raymond) Leta. She was the loving mother of Patricia Vanacore (James), of Branford and Elizabeth Evarts (Robert), of Lawrenceville, Georgia. Mary was the beloved grandmother of Merodie (Evarts) Lunceford and Adyson Evarts, and great-grandmother of Aaliyah, (3), and twins Isaiah and Eli (2), Lunceford, also of Georgia. She was pre-deceased by sisters Ann Russo of Norwich and Antoinette Szymczak of Mansfield, and brothers Dominic and Joseph Leta of Willimantic. She is survived by two brothers, James Leta of Mansfield and Louis Leta of Norwich and many nieces and nephews. Mary was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Willimantic until she moved to an assisted living facility in Branford, CT in 2009. Prior to her retirement in 1984, Mary worked for many years at several area companies; Leiss Velvet Company, Electro Motive Manufacturing Company, and Mansfield State Training School. There will be a gathering at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson Street, (Route 195), Willimantic, Friday, December 7th at 10:00 AM prior to the procession to her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
