Mary D. Michaels

Mary D. Michaels, 97, of Willimantic, wife of the late Louis L. Michaels, died Saturday, July 21, 2012 in Windham. She was born April 27, 1915 in Willimantic, the daughter of Leon and Eva (Shymchyk) Dubina and was a lifelong resident. Mary was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Willimantic and enjoyed playing cards with other seniors at the Senior Center and the V.F. W. Mary was a wonderful gardener and loved flowers. She is survived by a brother Nick Dubina and his wife Diana of St. Augustine, FL, several nieces and nephews. She was recently predeceased by her sister, Ann Sabo, with whom she was very close. a graveside service will be held Thursday July 26, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Windham Center Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Paul Episcopal Church, 220 Valley St., Willimantic, CT 06226.
