Mary Mennuti, 69, of North Windham, wife of the late Ed Mennuti, died Friday, October 27, 2006 at her home. She was born September 29, 1937 in Lubbock, TX, the daughter of Clarence and Dorcus (Kerns) Stephens and had lived in the Chaplin and Windham area for over 20 years. She was a member of the American Legion Unit 19 Ladies Auxiliary and had served in numerous offices.She served as a past President as a District President, Chaplain, Girls State Chairwoman and Chapeau of the Eight and Forty. She is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Dianna Smalley of Joshua, TX, Rick and Janet Smalley of College Station, TX and 6 grandchildren. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow in the South Chaplin Cemetery.
