Mary A. (Mcquade) Miecznski

Mary Elizabeth Ann Mieczynski, 82, of Windham, CT wife of Maryon Mieczynski, passed away peacefully February 15, 2017 surrounded by her family. Mary & Maryon were married on July 7, 1962. She was born in Willimantic, CT on July 24, 1934 to the late William McQuad & Ellen McCarthy. Mary was a school teacher for many years for Windham public schools. Mary was also very involved with St. Joseph Church of Willimantic. Mary enjoyed reading books and telling stories of old times. Mary was a sweet, caring, and loving mother, wife, grandmother and friend. Along with her loving husband Maryon, Mary is survived by three children, Edward Mieczynski & Deb of Windham, Stephen J. Mieczynski & Tina of Windham; Anita & James Bain of Alabama; two grandsons, John Mieczynski of Rhode Island and James Bain Jr. of Alabama. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St.Joseph Church of Willimantic, or Willimantic Public Library, 905 Main Street, Willimantic, CT 06226. Mary?s family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson Street (Rte. 195) Willimantic, CT. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic, at 10:00 am on Wednesday, February 22, 2017.
