Mary Lou E. Sanborn, 64, of Chaplin, wife of the late Percy P. Sanborn died Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at home after a battle with cancer. She was born August 8, 1942 in Hartford, the daughter of the late William and Margaret Elkins. She is survived by three children, Mary Jackson and her husband Steve of Hartford, Carol Bellman and her husband Dave of Chaplin, Ann Babcock and her husband L.J. of Virginia, 9 grandchildren, Priscilla Jackson, Jericho and Jillian Bellman, Jennifer, Britney, Kevin, Heather, Kyle and Jordan Babcock, siblings, Herman Elkins of Hartford, Michael Elkins of Hartford, Sharon Pallotti of California, Joyce Jones of North Carolina as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, other family and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother William Elkins Jr. Mary Lou was employed at Wal-Mart in North Windham, enjoyed playing Bingo, going to the casino and spending time with her grandchildren. Her funeral will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic. Burial will be private in the South Chaplin Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
