Mary Ellen Chadwell

Mary Ellen Chadwell died peacefully at the age of 61?on August 4, 2018 after a long time illness. She leaves behind her husband Gerald Chadwell Jr. of Willimantic, CT and her three children, Marsha Chadwell (Brian) of Colchester, CT, Karina Chadwell of Willimantic, CT and Gerald Chadwell the 3rd of Norfolk, VA, as well as one grandchild (Brianna). She is also survived by her mother Rosemary Johnson of Rialto, CA, one sister, Ginger Slater (Scott) of Perris, CA, and three brothers Rev. James Johnson (Tejuanna) of Natchez, MS, Dennis Johnson (Joyce) of Sacramento, CA, Rick Johnson of CA and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Jack Johnson of CA. After graduating from high school she did some traveling with her family and eventually landed in CT. She worked as a receptionist and then as a home health aide the last few years of her working career. She loved reading, beaches and family time. She was a wonderful and caring woman who saw the best in everyone and everything. Per Mary?s request there will be no funeral services at this time. Services will be arranged in CA in the month of November. Gerald will be holding a private family gathering at their home in CT. Flowers can be sent to 255 Windham Rd., Willimantic, CT 06226.
