Mary (Lucas) Bousa, 97, formerly of Chaplin, died Monday evening Feb. 9, 2004 at Douglas Manor, Windham. She was born Feb. 4, 1907 in Willimantic the daughter of Maxim and Esther (Labowski) Lucas. On Oct. 5, 1926 she married Joseph Bousa Jr. and they resided in Chaplin for many years. Mary was active with her husband in the operation of the family business, Joe Bousa's Garage in N. Windham. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Willimantic. Mary is survived by her daughter and son in law, Helen and Joseph Kos of N. Windham, her son and daughter in law, Joseph Bousa III and Jean Bousa of Mashpee, MA. and Nokomis, FL. , her grandchildren; Joseph , Cindy, Gerald, Edward and John , her great grandchildren; Marina, Eamon, Bridget and Monica,a sister Staphie (Lucas) Cole of Brooklyn and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband in 1988 and also by 7 brothers and 2 sisters. Her private funeral service will be held at the Potter Funeral Home in Willimantic, with burial following in the Russ Cemetery, Chaplin.
