Mary F. Arnott, 81, of Willimantic, died Sunday, October 1, 2006 at Windham Hospital with her family by her side. She was born July 28, 1925 in Willimantic, the daughter of Joseph and Frances (Pont) DeMontigney and had lived in Willimantic all her life where she was an active communicant of St. Joseph Church. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her family was her life and she was famous for cooking for various family events. She recently published a cookbook of her recipes so the traditions can continue. She is survived by 10 children, James Arnott of California, Joseph Arnott of Connecticut, Linda Bogan and her husband Ronald of Florida, Robert Arnott and his wife Robin of California, twin sons David Arnott and his wife Janet and John Arnott and his wife Debbie, both of Connecticut, Edward Arnott of California, Patrick Arnott of Connecticut, Debra Taylor of Florida and Donna Denis of Connecticut, 26 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter Jean Arnott, 3 brothers and a sister. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church with assembly at the church.
