Martha L. Lester

Martha L. Lester, 87, of Columbia, widow of James M. Lester, died Monday July 8, 2002 in Willimantic. She was born December 3, 1914 in Willimantic, the daughter of Willard and Mildred (Bentley) Tew and was a lifelong area resident. She retired from the former Mansfield State Training School as a nurse's aide. She is survived by 2 sons and a daughter, James Lester of Columbia, Willard Lester of Port St. Lucie, Florida and Kathy Fletcher of East Norriston, Pennsylvania, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 4:00 p.m. at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. There are no calling hours. Please visit www.potterfh.com
