Mark Alan Vertefeuille, 54, of Clinton, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday October 4th, 2011. He was born January 10th, 1957 in Willimantic, the son of Elaine Vertefeuille of Chaplin and the late Albert S. Vertefeuille. He was raised in Chaplin and graduated from Windham Technical School in 1975. Mark was a talented artist, skilled machinist and carpenter. He loved kayaking, tattooing, motorcycles and most importantly his family. In addition to his mother he is survived by siblings, David Vertefeuille of Chaplin and Vicky Assis of Van Nuys, California, his children, Jason Vertefeuille and his wife Rachel of Lebanon, Casey Vertefeuille of Seymour, Justin Vertefeuille and Alexandra Vertefeuille of Thompson, his grandchildren, Aiden, Kaidence and Trey. Mark is also survived by three stepchildren, Kerri Connors of Danielson, Kyle Connors of Chaplin and Tommy Dumouchel of Danielson, several nieces and a nephew. Mark also leaves behind his love Polly Schumann of Clinton. Mark's humorous and loving spirit will forever be in our hearts. His family will receive friends and relatives on Saturday, October 8th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic. Funeral and burial will be private.
