Mark F. Giordano

Mark F. Giordano, 62, of Johnston Rhode Island, formerly of Columbia Connecticut, passed away Wednesday September 22, 2010 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. Mark was born in Willimantic Connecticut, the son of the late Charles and Frances Giordano. He graduated from Windham High and went on to get a BS in Chemical Engineering at Northeastern University in Boston MA. During and after his college days Mark worked at DeSiato Sand and Gravel for his uncle Felix and cousin Phillip for several years. He spent most of his working days as a diesel / heavy equipment mechanic and loved his work. Mark will be remembered for his earlier days playing the electric organ in several local Rock and Roll bands with his brother Joe. He is survived by his girlfriend and soul mate Alice Gaudiello; brothers Joseph Giordano and his wife Kathleen Scandura, Alan Giordano and his wife Nita; nephew Gary Giordano; two nieces Erika and Rosalie Giordano Oliver, and a great niece Yasmeen. He was predeceased by his wife Carol Giordano of Mansfield. There are no calling hours and interment will be at the convenience of the family in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
