Marjorie R. (Devault) White, matriarch of the White Family, died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at St. Joseph Living Center surrounded by her loving family. Marjorie was predeceased by her youngest son John and is survived by her husband Donald, her five children and their spouses, Dawn and Lloyd Niles, Susan and Michael Mlyniec, Cathy Whitehead, Thomas and Annmarie White, Gary and Nancy White, and their daughter-in-law Marcia and Dan Panciera, 20 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren as well as her sister Gloria Steets. Marjorie was an active member of the Windham Community serving on the Windham Board of Education, a faithful member of St. Mary Church and a volunteer at Windham Hospital. She promoted her selfless dedication to her faith, her community and her family every day. Marjorie's last days were as a resident of St. Joseph Living Center where the staff and volunteers treated her with dignity and care. The family will be forever grateful. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Friday Aug. 1, 2014 between 5:00 and 8:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic with interment following in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested to St. Joseph Living Center End of Life Suite, 14 Club Rd. Windham, CT. 06280.
