Marjorie Ann Inzinga

Marjorie Ann (Mallon) Inzinga, 94, wife of Russell P. Inzinga, passed away September 9, 2015 at her home of 58 years in Columbia, Connecticut surrounded by her loving family. Daughter of the late Oliver and Anne (Moonan) Mallon, Marjorie was born in Manchester, Connecticut on February 17, 192l. In addition to her husband of 68 years, Marjorie is survived by her five children: Dr. Joan Inzinga of Columbia, Connecticut, Mary Ann Pino (Rudolph) of New Canaan, Connecticut, Carol Puckett (Thomas) of Columbia, Connecticut, Thomas Inzinga (Crystal) of Henniker, New Hampshire and Donna MacFarland (Bruce) of Downingtown, Pennsylvania; nine beloved grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Lawrence F. Mallon and George E. Mallon. Prior to her retirement, Marjorie was employed by the State of Connecticut at Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic, Connecticut, as an Administrative Secretary in the Office of Student Affairs and was a member of CSEA, Chapter #408. After her retirement, she was elected to the Columbia Board of Education for two consecutive terms and was a Notary Public. Marjorie served as secretary to the Newman House Campus Ministry at ECSU, Columbia Seniors Organization and the Columbia Commission on Aging. She was a long time communicant of St. Columba Church. Calling hours will be at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson Street, (Rte. 195) Willimantic, CT on Friday, September 11, 2015 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 10:00am at St. Columba Church, intersection of Rte. 66 and Rte. 87, in Columbia, with assembly at church, burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her memory may be made to: St. James School Foundation, P.O. Box 254, Manchester, CT 06040; or East Catholic High School, Advancement Office, 115 New State Road, Manchester, CT 06040; or Newman Hall, ECSU Catholic Ministry, 290 Prospect Street, Willimantic, CT 06226.
