Marjorie (Gallup) Bolduc, 84, of Chaplin, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday Aug. 8, 2010. In 1925 she was born in Putnam the daughter of John and Ellen (Shaw) Gallup. Marjorie was a 1943 graduate of Putnam High School and in 1948 graduated from University of CT. School of Nursing with a BS Degree and RN license. She then was employed at Day Kimball Hospital for a few years, retiring to become a full time homemaker. Marjorie had been a member of Chaplin Congregational Church since 1955. She served on all major church committees, on the Sunday School Staff and as clerk of the church. She had also been active in the Heifer Project. She married Oliver Bolduc on June 14, 1948 and he predeceased her on Feb. 19, 2007. She is survived by two sons, John Bolduc and his wife Doreen and Al Bolduc and his wife Cathy, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two sisters,Ruth G. Randall and Barbara G. Brewer and many nieces and nephews. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday Aug. 11th between 5:00 and 8:00pm at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. The funeral service will be held at Chaplin Congregational Church, Chaplin St., Chaplin on Thursday at 11:00am. Interment will follow in Russ Cemetery, Chaplin.
