Marion Coriaty Obituary
Marion R. (Young) Coriaty, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 16, 2021. She was born on June 2, 1926, to the late Alice Hibbard Young and Daniel Young of Coventry, CT. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Henry Coriaty. Marion lived in Willimantic, CT, Columbia, CT, and Manchester, CT. She and Henry raised two children, Joy Coriaty Balcome and Henry Jay Coriaty. She loved her children passionately and was always concerned about their happiness and success. She leaves two very special grandchildren, Spencer Coriaty and Kelsey Coriaty who brought her a great deal of happiness and pride. Her two grandchildren were one of Marion’s favorite topics of conversation, and the main subject of her scrapbooking.
Her family would like to send a special thanks to the staff at the Card Home for the Aged in Willimantic who took such good care of Marion during her stay there. We also send a special thanks to the staff at Douglas Manor who were so kind to our mother.
Funeral services will be held at a later date when it is safer to gather in celebration of Marion’s life.
