Marion J. (Summers) Crawford

December 18, 1925 — January 3, 2017

Marion J. Crawford, 91, peacefully passed away with her sons by her side on January 3, 2017. She was born in Willimantic, CT on December 18, 1925 and was the middle child of Raymond and Eva Summers. She lived her entire life in Willimantic with the exception of 5 years in Littleton, Massachusetts. Marion graduated from Windham High School in 1943 and retired from Electro Motive Manufacturing Company after which she devoted her time and energy to raising her sons and maintaining the house she lived in right up to the time of her death. She was an avid reader and loved to sit on her porch and watch the neighborhood. Marion was a loving and dedicated mother to her sons and grandchildren and will be missed dearly She and her late husband Clifton J. Crawford Jr. were married 50 years before his death in 1997. Marion is survived by two sons, C. John Crawford III and his wife April of Pleasant Hill, California and Jason S. Crawford and his wife Carmela of Franklin, Connecticut. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren: Taylor Summers Crawford of San Diego, California and Kelly Cameron Crawford of Pleasant Hill, CA, Nicholas Summers Crawford of Franklin, CT and Morgan Maria Crawford also of Franklin, CT. She was predeceased by her parents and two sisters, Dorothy Garneau and Pauline Gladue both of Willimantic, CT. In obeyance to her wishes, there will be no calling hours and no funeral.
