Marion E. Upton, 89, formerly of Mansfield, CT passed away on August 3, 2021. She was born in Plainfield, CT to William and Emma (Burgess) Ducat.
Marion enjoyed sewing and playing bingo. She was a member of the St. Philip Apostle Church in Ashford, CT. Marion was a member of St. Philip’s Women’s Auxiliary Guild and was a CCD teacher for years. She enjoyed older country and western music. Marion is survived by her son David and his fiancé Lisa Jones of FL; daughter Cheryl and her long-time significant other Anthony Santopietro of CT; grandchildren David V. Upton and his wife Kelly of MA, Billie-Jo Upton and her significant other Dan of MA, Ben Green and his significant other Amber, Brandon Green and his fiancé Emma, and Brianna Green, all of CT, and step-granddaughter Brandy Bourdia of CT; great-grandchildren Blayne Nichols of MA, Kaylib Green of CT, and Shelby and Robert Green of CT. She was preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings.
Marion’s family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, August 14, 2021 from 10:15am to 11:00am at St. Philip Apostle Church, 64 Pompey Hollow Rd. Ashford, CT 06278 with her Funeral Mass starting at 11:00am. She will be buried in St. Philip Cemetery in Ashford, CT. Due to the rise in COVID-19, we ask that masks be worn during the calling hour and Funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to St. Philip Apostle Church.
