Marie B. Sikora

Marie B. Sikora, 88, formerly of Stamford, slipped peacefully and gracefully into the beckoning arms of her Lord on Friday, March 20, 2009 at St. Joseph Living Center in Windham, CT after an arduous battle with Alzheimers Disease. For most of her life, she was an active and devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Stamford and possessed an intense faith that characterized every aspect of her life. She was loved by all who knew her for her generous spirit and kind heart. Marie was predeceased by her beloved husband, George P. Sikora. She is survived by her steadfast daughter Linda Riquier and her husband Daniel of Windham, her brother Fred Kelsey of Norwalk, her devoted nieces Karen Kelsey of Bridgeport and Patte Gatto of Fairfield, and several other loving nieces and nephews. The family expresses their sincere gratitude to the staff at St. Joseph Living Center for the exceptional care given to Marie over a period of nearly six years. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Living Center, 14 Club Road, Windham CT, 06280. There are no calling hours. The Funeral Service will take place on Monday March 23rd at 11:00am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 265 Seaside Ave., Stamford, with interment following in Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien.
