Marie Evelyn Prue

Marie Evelyn Prue, 83, of Willimantic, died Saturday March 5, 2011 at Windham Hospital. She was born Sept. 2, 1927 in Willimantic the daughter of Fred and Katherine (McCarthy) Prue. Marie was a lifetime communicant of St. Joseph Church in Willimantic where she had been a member of the Women's Club for many years holding various offices. At the time of her retirement from University of Connecticut, she was employed in the Registry Office. Marie was predeceased by two sisters and a brother. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. Willimantic on Thursday between 9:00 and 9:30am prior to her 10:00am Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial donations in Marie's name may be made to St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic, Ct. 06226.
