Marie Jeanne (Laflamme) Wylie

Our beloved ?Mem? Marie-Jeanne ?Jeannette? Wylie, 85 of Willimantic, went home to be with her Lord on January 6, 2018. Marie-Jeanne was born in St. Raphael, Quebec, Canada on April 20, 1932. She moved to the United States in 1950 at the age of 18. Unable to speak English, she learned the language and fell in love with her sweetheart Thomas E. Wylie Jr. They were married July 4, 1953 and were together for over 43 years. Marie-Jeanne was a life- long resident of Willimantic, CT and a member of St. Mary?s Church. She was a devoted and loyal wife and mother. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor. Marie-Jeanne nurtured her family with love and faith. Mem is predeceased by her loving husband, Thomas Wylie Jr.; her parents, Jules and Marie ?Laure LaFlamme; brother, Eddie Laflamme; her grandson, Jason Elliott, and son-in-law, Teddy Breault. She is survived by her children, Nancy Elliott, Carolle Breault, Suzanne Kimlingen, son-in-law Kevin Kimlingen, and Lisa Carr. She leaves behind a rich weave of values of love and hope to her grandchildren, Brandon Elliott, Ryan Carr, Brittany Kimlingen, Zachary Carr, Natalie Holcroft, Kaley Carr, Logan Breault and great grandson, Colton Carr. She is survived by her siblings, Louisette Fradette, Denise Orsos, Bertrand Laflamme, Denis Laflamme and numerous nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte.195) Willimantic, CT Wednesday January 10, 2018 from 5-7 pm. The Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Thursday, January 11, 2018 at St. Mary Church 46 Valley St. Willimantic, CT, with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
