Marie Shirley Elliott

Marie Shirley Elliott, 72, of Putnam, died Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at her home. She was born November 7, 1939 in Willimantic, the daughter of George and Marie (Morin) Elliott. Marie retired in 2001 after 24 years of employment at Kaman Aerospace in Moosup. She enjoyed golf and bowling but was happiest when surrounded by her family and friends. She was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters, Carl and Raymond Elliott of Willimantic, Doris Elliott, also of Willimantic and Ruth E. Roy of North Windham. She is survived by three sisters, Janet Matassa of Putnam, Evelyn Menzone and her husband Joseph of Dudley, MA and Edith Baronousky of Putnam, a brother, Robert Elliott and his wife Nancy of Willimantic, several nieces, nephews and her longtime friend Carol Montpelier of Putnam. Her Funeral Mass will be Friday, December 16, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church, Valley St., Willimantic. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. There are no calling hours.
