Marianne Morascini, 49, beloved daughter of Anthony A. Morascini and Jeanne Hochberg Morascini, passed from this earth to her eternal life on Friday, October 10, 2014 in New Haven, CT. Her bright smile, loving spirit and perennially optimistic outlook touched everyone who knew her. She had courageously endured a long illness. And now is at peace. Marianne was predeceased by Ron Skorton, the father of her children and is survived by her sons, Sean D. Skorton and Joshua B. Skorton and her granddaughter, Kira Sage Skorton. In addition to her parents, she also leaves her cherished sister, Lynne E. Morascini of Willimantic and her adored brothers, Anthony B. Morascini of Mystic, David J. Morascini of New London, Jay L. Morascini and Dru Cobb of Branford and Jonathan I. Morascini of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. as well as a niece, Nena Morascini Reed, her husband Austin and great-nephew, Dominic Reed of Fall River, MA. She had two nephews, Anthony P. Morascini, his wife Jill, great-nephews A.J. and Dylan Morascini of Willington; and Adam D. Lehmann of Long island, NY. . She leaves her aunts, Ann Moore of Columbia and Carol M. Piscetello of Willimantic. Also surviving are twelve cousins in the Moore, Piscetello and Hochberg families and her loving Fairy Godmother, Joan Cariglia. A private family graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 16. On Sunday, October 26 from 1 to 4 PM a true celebration of Marianne's life will be held at the Golf Club of Windham, 184 Club Road, North Windham, CT. 869-456-4211. All are welcome.
