Marianne C. Carr

Marianne C. Carr, 65, of Columbia, wife of Bill Carr Jr., died Thursday, January 27, 2011 at their home. She was born October 17, 1945 in Stamford, CT, the daughter of Paul Mazik of Stamford and the late Claire (Lasko) Mazik and had lived in Columbia over 30 years. She was proud to have a Master Gardener's degree and loved her flowers. Prior to her retirement she had been employed for over 10 years by the East Hampton School System. In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by her son, Todd C. Harvey of Los Angeles and two daughters, Carrie Harvey of Norwich and Rebecca Carr of Flagstaff, AZ. She is also survived by a brother, Paul Mazik Jr. of ND, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice. The Potter Funeral Home, Willimantic, assisted with arrangements.
