Maria Goergmaier Culpin

Maria M. Culpin, of Windham, died Monday, March 24, 2014 at the age of 89. She was born on September 8, 1924 to Johann and Dorotha Goergmaier of Gilching, Germany. She moved to the United States in 1955 to marry her husband, Robert Culpin who survives her. Maria worked for many years at the American Thread Company and Electro Motive Manufacturing Co. Over the years, she enjoyed many trips to Europe as well as tending her gardens at home or visiting with family and friends. In addition to her husband, she is also survived by her brother in law William Culpin of Florida, sister in law Meta Goergmaier, nephew Hanse Goergmaier and his wife Krista and great niece Angela of Germany, nephews Michael and Glenn Morell, John Culpin and William Meyerhardt and nieces Carol Hodgkins and Elaine Magnee. Maria was predeceased by her brother Johann Goergmaier and sister Kunigunde Frauenberger, her brothers in law Richard Culpin, Leo Morell and sister in law June Morell. Rev. Sara Worcester will officiate at a graveside service at the Windham Center Cemetery, Rte. 203, Windham Center on Friday, March 28, 2014 at 11:30 am. There will be no calling hours.
